Growing Up

So funny how you can be 31 and still be growing up. I suppose there are others that are much older than that still discovering and learning things about themselves. I've been learning a lot about myself lately. I've learned that what I think I want is different than what I really want. I've learned that I like me, that I can be independent and I don't need to always take care of others. I've learned that limits are important and when we pass those limits it doesn't always feel as good as we think it will. I've learned that we have regrets for a reason and that some of them are good. They keep us from repeating negative behaviors. I've learned that I can look forward to my future, that nothing is ever set in stone. I've learned that I am incapable of being shallow, sometimes I wish this wasn't true because sometimes things are just easier that way.
